Weekend Welding Project

Well after months of deliberating I finally jumped in a welded up the firewall. I ran out of welding gas 3/4 of the way through but the hard part is done. I procrastinated on it because I didn't think I could do it right. It still isn't perfect and my body guy is going to have a little work to do but it isn't bad for a novice. Here it is before...

It's a Hobart 140. I got it at Tractor Supply awhile back. Got my gas bottle from there too because they swap them out for full ones and they are open every day... except Easter Sunday.

I have to do some welding on the doors then I'm going to give the cab to the body guy to work his magic on. In the mean time I've got plenty left to do on the chassis. Fuel tank, exhaust, brake and fuel lines. Plenty to keep me busy and my wallet empty.

I'm going to use a Vintage Air setup. It all mounts under the dash.
