Re: who can restore seat belts?
Are they dirty or is the webbing frayed and bad?

contact Cheyenne Super Man, he's a member here. I've seen pics of his work posted by other members and it looks great.

Re: who can restore seat belts?
i may be wrong, but it may be illegal to repair SAFETY belts. i wouldn't want a member of my family riding around with shotty repaired belts? i believe the buckles are repairable with a kit, but not the strap.

Re: who can restore seat belts?
no, its not illegal, and your right i wouldn't want to use poor belts. but old deteriorated belts are dangerous too. There are a lot of things i would tackle myself but i want someone who has some experience and can do a good job.
thanks for the tip about cheyenne superman, i'll check with him. i finally scored a set of shoulderbelts and want to get them redone, there worth it to me.

Re: who can restore seat belts?
I think he's talking about re-webbing them. The restoration services like Cheyenne Super Man (he has a legit business) and Snake-Oyl and others restore all of the buckles and re-web the belts. This is perfectly legal.

Re: who can restore seat belts?
FYI- you can use a center belt from our trucks....they are the same length as shoulders. You can also use the belts from the retractors if you disassemble them. The belts are also the same length as shoulders

Re: who can restore seat belts?
No problem...just make sure the webbing is in good shape as previously stated. I have a set of shoulder harnesses too, and instead of paying $$ to get them re-webbed, I found a nice set of original blue belts...just removed the angled mounting brackets and the plastic floor boot, and sewed the straight mounting brackets on in their place....and you are done. The male ends are already there.
