Hows the carrier bearing?

It doesnt really sound like spiders. If it were the clutches you wouldnt really notice a change if they were worn out except the rear would act like an open rear end. Ive had similar popping and chattering but only on fresh rear ends that hadnt soaked oil into the clutches fully and then only around corners..

I had a wheel bearing (rear passenger side) go on me once just after I bought my truck, I went out an abandonded highway and dumped the clutch to see if I had a posi. rear end or not. After that it sounded like my rear end was shot (I thought I broke some teeth on the ring & pinion) I even had some mechanics go for test spins with me and they all said that it was most likely the rear end. The sound (from the bad wheel bearing) travelled all the way down the axle to the ring gear!! It sure was strange!!! Later, Doug

What kind of adative did you use. Mine will only work with GM adative. With other brands it chatters.
