Re: frame swap

I have a 70 GMC with C10 front fenders on what appears to be a mid 80's frame. I don't know for sure on year of frame, but it is not a 67-72 frame.
The core support mounts are too far forward and the bed mounts have wood between them and the bed (to match cab to bed?) I would say it is doable, but you would need to spend some time relocating the body/core support mounts to end up with a quality job, unlike this truck I bought for parts.

However, if I were you, I would look for a correct year frame.

P.s. I have a Swb 2wd frame with 6 lug setup and drum brakes front and rear I am planning on selling.
You can PM if interrested. It is located in Red Banks, MS (near Holly Springs) about 40 mins from Memphis, TN

Re: frame swap

the truck frames won't work. They have the bed kicked up where you need a flat frame. Plus, you'd need to shorten the wheel base. A burb frame is flat and doable, but still a bunch of work.
