Who has the lowest truck w/o bags?
I've got new rims and tires on order and I'm wanting to drop her down a little bit more but I'm not sure how low i can go...When I measure from my license plate to the ground I'm sitting at 6 1/2 inches...I'd love to see how low we can get these trucks w/o bags...let's see some pics of some crazy low 67-72's. I have a feeling I have a long way to go...

Re: Who has the lowest truck w/o bags?
The following two trucks are the lowest that I've personally seen, and they each look killer in their own respect.
Well here's tcb-1's truck with information: front: -Summit 3" drop coils for 73-89 GM trucks with a half coil removed -McGaughy's 2.5 drop disc brake spindles -1.25" front sway bar -Tokico drop shocks (still to install) -CPP shortened sway bar mounts -Prothane bushings rear: -2.25" custom billet aluminum drop blocks -CPP 6" drop springs -CPP bolt-in "C" notch -Early Classic SuperTrac bar -shock relocators (still to install) -Tokico drop shocks (still to install) rolling stock: -235/70/15 Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTS -rallyamerica.com 15x7 bare smoothie rims -rear 1" wheel spacers The front tires tuck inside the wheel well enough that there is no tire rub. The front aligns up correct. I have not had to modify the bed to clear the rear axle. I did need to modify the exhaust to dump ahead of the rear axle. Check out this link for more info... And here is lolife99's '69 and write up: The suspension is a 5.5"/7.5" static drop. I'm using some swap meet '71-'72 McGaughy's drop spindles ($100), a set of $89 Summit 3" drop springs, and my old Belltech drop shocks from the blazer. In the rear I have a set of 6" ECE drop springs, ECE Super Track Bar, and ECE shocks and relocators from my '71 parts truck. I also made a set of 1.5" lowering blocks to get the rear down. Wheels are a set of 7" and 8" 6-lug ralleys I had, with some Ebay centercaps. Tires are 215/70-15's and 275/60-15's for a little rubber rake. The front a-arms are the old stock lowers and CPP uppers off of the blazer. All the tie rods, idler arm, etc. are new. Check out this thread for more info...

Re: Who has the lowest truck w/o bags?
My junk is running 3 inch drop springs with 1/2 coil cut, 2.5 spindles for 7 inch total. Rear is 6 inch drop.
It isn't the lowest by any means, but I have driven it 98,168 miles this way on all types of roads, rain or shine.

Re: Who has the lowest truck w/o bags?
cant currently post up to date pics right now(no camera)but the rear of my burb has a 9" static drop: 6" springs 3" blocks. and the front is just cut springs right now(about a 4" drop) but plan on adding 3" drop spindles to that untill i can afford to bag it.
(old pic). here is about where the front will sit when done untill bags. (here is the most up to date pic i have). this is were the front and the back sits right now, the front is up 3" to high, and the back is tucking a 255/35zr 20 right at the top of the rim |
