Re: msd ignition
I have the MSD street fire ignition and it helped alittle with starting the engine. It's idles a little smoother but other than that I have not noticed too much difference maybe a slight improvement in gas mileage.

Re: msd ignition
I put a MSD 6a ignition box on my truck. I noticed that it starts better and idles better I also noticed that it seems to have a little more low end torque and it seems to pick up the revs alot quicker.

My '87 with the 454 has the MSD Digital 6 with the HVC Coil and the pro billet distributor. My mildly built 350 in my Jimmy has an HEI ignition system onboard and runs just peachy. Kenny

Re: msd ignition
I run a MSD 6A in my truck and like they said above, it starts easier and idles better.. the addition of a little more power is noticable. You'd feel more of a difference in a race engine than a street engine, though.

Re: msd ignition
only takes once...
there's a big plus to driving a stick... a 3.42 gear and over drive... with a big nasty motor... and not have it suck driving around
