Body Mounts?
Somebody was telling my pick up needed new body mounts because, well, this picture:
What do you think? One last part, The driver side door sags. I believe it needs new hinges, will that help? Also where is a good place to order them from?

Re: Body Mounts?
most of it is just frame flex?.... 10 foot long c-channel frames tend to do that.

Re: Body Mounts?
I would look under the truck and see whats going on. I thought when the body bushings went bad the cab sat lower than the bed. Almost looks like the cab has a small body lift...

Re: Body Mounts?
to determine if you need body moumts you need to look under the truck.... it is prolly frame flex like another poster said but if the nose and cab are on an angle to each other its usually the front cab mounts and if the back of the cab sits real low when parked on level concrete, then you can look into the rear body mounts on the cab... that is on dirt and it looks like it is far from level

Re: Body Mounts?
You can replace the hinge pins and bushings. Your local parts store will probably carry them.

Re: Body Mounts?
That is just frame flex as previously mentioned...
Mine did the same thing but levelled out when on flat ground. frame flex.. no flex..

Re: Body Mounts?
So, from these pictures, it does not need them? Only thing I believe I believe I need is door hinges to stop the hanging door.

Re: Body Mounts?
from that pic it does look like it needs rear cab bushings.. the trim on the back of the cab is slightly lower than the bed. However fixing the door may not make this as noticable. Replacing the cab bushings on something this old is always a good thing. Mine could have used it, but thats not what is causing the problem with flexing.

Re: Body Mounts?
Alright.
I'll look into the cab bushings. Part time kit, Door, Cab bushings, X-pipe...... and she'll be almost good as new.
