Seat!!

I need seat suggestions guys. Anybody know what seats from a later model truck might work in a 1972 GMC pickup without alot of modifications? Or what aftermarkets are a good choice at a reasonable price?

Re: Seat!!

Perhaps I should ask for pics of your seats so I can check out what looks good or works good?

Was it a split bench?

Re: Seat!!

hes a pic before i tore the truck apart ..the sixty forty split bench works , my dad had one in his 68 about 10 years ago...you should be able to find a couple of pics on here for sure...mine stick up just a lil bit above the bacl window not much but i have got 3/4 inch spacers under mine to give a lil room for my speaker box under the seat..

Re: Seat!!

I don't suppose the high hump in mine for the TH400 would get in the way would it? I feel like I'm too close to the top of the cab now with the old seat.

Re: Seat!!

Another question.......... My truck is the olive green on the inside. Anybody find a late model seat color that goes good with this?

Re: Seat!!

the newer seat is not as thick as the old one..plus the brace is removable in the front of the seat...so you should be good to go , my tunnel is kinda high too , i had to raise it up ...so it sits up kinda(5 inchs or so) ..so you should have room lets see ill measure for ya .......the front of the seat is around 12 inchs high at the front and about 11 at the back of the seat and theres around 5 inchs or so under the seat for the tunnel...iam 6'3 and i fit in mine with 3/4 spacers under it...they made the seat in an forest green i think, the gray would look ok...

Re: Seat!!

Hey thx for the info nuts. I'm only 6'1" so it should be great for me. I'll look around for a forest green seat first.
