Can any body spare a fleet side? For a good cause.
I'm asking my friend to prom in a "Cute" way I have been told She has a mini cooper S, and got it because of the movie "The Italian Job", a favorite of hers. She loves the little thing and knows I dig it too. To ask her to prom I thought up, finding 3 toy Mini Coopers, and a 67-72 chevy truck and painting the mini coopers Red white and blue like the movie cars, and having the 67-72 orange like my truck (as the hint of who!). Then putting P, R, O and M on each vehicle and placing them in/on her car after school.
Problem is, I only have a 67-72 1/24 truck, and I'm searching to find Hotwheels 1/64 size cars. So, if anyone can part from their hot wheels size fleet side for a good cause, I'd be very grateful! |

That`s a cool idea.But,NO!,you can`t have my toy.
I guess there hasn`t been one out for awhile.I don`t have any spare Fleetside dUBs,just one of each and looking for two of the hard ones I don`t have. I gave a girlfriend a red hotwheels with a miniature rose in the bed because she was born in`70 and I had shown her the red`70 Stepside Prostreet I had built. It touched her more than anything else I gave her.Only cost me a buck! The best dollar I ever spent!

If you need the Mini Coopers, check the Matchbox section at Walmart or Target.
The only "fleetside" 67-72 in the 1:64 scale that I know of, is the Jada '72 Cheyenne. All of the Hot Wheels are stepside. I don't think Matchbox has put any out.

Re: Can any body spare a fleet side? For a good cause.
I'll have to see if my little bro can find a pickup and I'll just do any truck orange.
I found match box Mini's, but their the old school van type, not the cooper. Then, at walmart found the old Cooper, but their 5 packs with only 1 cooper in each. Looks like I'm buying all 15 cars for only 3! I'm aiming to pull this friday. I got my friend (her best friend) in on this yesterday to help me out, and she's getting grilled with questions by the girl I'm asking |

Thats a really cool idea. I myself have an original Mini. It a 1969 Morris Mini thats right hand drive and the same year as my truck.
So are you asking her to prom? If so maybe a fifth car is needed that has a question mark on it. |

Re: Can any body spare a fleet side? For a good cause.
I ended up making a street sign that had the ?-mark.
it was fun tho, after school ended I went for my truck. I parked it a row away from her car today, so I could spy when she came lol... so got out there, and had to redraw the P R O and M with sharpie so that the dry-erase letters I used (only market I had) wouldn't wash off. Then ran out over to her car, stuck them on the fender, and ran back. Then amanda stopped stalling and after 5 long minutes, they got to the car... and it also started raining harder, so at 1st Nikki just jumped in the mini.. then I pulled my truck over a few spaces to the side of hers, and finally amanda got her out of the car and she saw them and started smilin' real big, so I walked on over and was like "Nichola (her full name), will you goto prom with me?" YES! So, score brownie points for me... |
