which temp sensor
I put summit vortec heads on my 350. When I went to swap over the sensors in the head they were the wrong size. The vortecs looks to have 3/8 and the stock head had 1/2 sensors. What is the best way to make this work? New sensor reccomendations? Its a 72, 350 with gauges. It has two sensors, driver front and passenger rear. Which is which? I think the driver front is for the gauge and the passenger is rear is for an idiot light. But there I go thinking again.

Re: which temp sensor
Im doing this now and ran into the same issue. Did you get it figured out? Heres what im going with. Both for a late 80's model 350.
WT357P for the light. WT359Z for the guage.

Re: which temp sensor
Have someone cut your sensor down and rethread it for 3/8" npt. Thats about the only solution that works.

Re: which temp sensor
I bought my heads from a junkyard and they came with sensors but I didn't use them, I put an aftermarket gauge cluster at the same time and I didn't hook up the factory gauges, I just used the mechanical one

Re: which temp sensor
I did some checking today and the actual sizes are 5/8 and 3/4. The original one is 3/4.

Re: which temp sensor
I can turn these down and rethread them to 3/8 pipe. How much demand is out there for these?
