What year Seville is a better donor for it's rear disc brakes?
I went 'yarding today after work and found 2 Cadillac Sevilles with complete rear disc brake set-ups. One was a '77 (rear wheel drive) and the other was a '78 (front wheel drive with the funky sloped decklid...ugly)
Are these the same, or is one a better donor than the other. I have read that the '79-'85 Eldorados and Rivieras are good donors, but the rotors on all the ones I have seen in the wrecking yard were 5X4.75 bolt pattern. Maybe I could grab the calipers off those and the rotors and brackets off the '77 or '78? |

It looks like you want the first gen RWD one. The article states that 77-79 has rear disc brakes and a 5x5 bolt pattern.

Pyro is correct, 1977-79
Keep in mine the 94-96 HD Impalas (or B/D-body line) had discs also with 5x5.

Here's a good write up if you haven't already read it. Apparently 80-85 calipers will work, though I'm not sure about bolt pattern on the rotors.

Some of the Devilles and Fleetwoods from 77-up had rear discs also. I had a 78 Fleetwood Brougham, and it had a 12 bolt with rear discs.
