New style wheels
Here's a question. I know this came up before to some degree but I can't find that thread.
I have access to a nice set of 20" wheels off a 200x Tahoe (6-lug). Correct me if I am wrong but the newer style wheels (88+) have a different offset so they would sit in too far on a 73-87 truck? I am going to convert my CC to 1/2ton suspension and already have a 6-lug rear with newer 3.73 gears and an eaton posi. I also thought I had read that ECE or someone like that made a 6-lug rotor aimed at the 67-72 guys that convert their front suspension to the 73-87 style parts. Could I use the ECE 6-lug rotors, my existing 6-lug rear-axle and some spacers to mount these wheels on my truck?

Re: New style wheels
I was told to get 73-87 3/4 ton lower a-frames and 88-92 3/4 ton (6lug) spindles/rotors/brakes, (I don't remember what brake lines you will need) to
do the swap. You allready have 3/4 ton a-frames/lca so all you need is the 88-92 spindles and ? brake lines. |

Re: New style wheels
If those are the wheels you want , look into some Billet adaptors . They can be had for about $150 a set I think and come in varying thicknesses . If they make that adaptor , With the offset of the newer wheels , you could get adaptors to go from 5on5 to 6 on 5.5 and they would sit right in your wheelwells . Just a thought .
