Frame and hitch braces
hello gentlemen (and the occasional mudd princess)
does or has anyone welded additional supports to their front and rear frames to support recovery hooks and shackles? would anyone be willing to post a picture? Or a suggestion on how to do it? im working at a friends welding shop while im back in school... so i get to practice and make free stuff for myself. well i ws thinking ob "boxing" the rear of the frame with a single (across the rear frame before the bumper brackets then a X pattern.... not sure what i should to to make a good area to mount a shackel and recovery hook... what about the front also? i want to keep my stick chrome bumpers through all this.. and eventually when i aquire a winch i'll hide that also behind the stock bumpers. so what do yall think?

Re: Frame and hitch braces
A Class III receiver hitch, mounted directly to the frame rails with a clevis hook receiver insert is sufficient. I have seen a Class III receiver hitch mounted on the front frame rails to service the same purpose.
