Re: 1968 4 door? Is this for real
probably a 3 door, those look like burb doors. I would suspect a burb conversion here.

Re: 1968 4 door? Is this for real
That`s cuz you`re an aaa...nevermind
![]() I`d assume the same.I don`t see that the seller claime one way or another.I di find it strange that if that was all custom done in the v=nicest way,IMO,how did it get in that condition so quickly. That`s no recent work. That truck`s been done and run hard. Not usually what you`d do after doing all that work to build a truck just the way you want it. I bed that`s a much older conversion.Perhaps done professionally back when the truck was new.

I call photo shop, If you look real closely, you can see where they blended in the extra doors.

Re: 1968 4 door? Is this for real
Historically, GM failed to see the market earlier than they did, and farmed them out(sacrificing styling). I know Dodge, Ford and International offered cleaner factory jobs a lot earlier. This truck looks like the way the factory should have made them, they way made them in 1973 and up.

![]() ![]() Look at the back door. It has the back non movable window like burbs have. I agree it was probably a burb as well. The conversions cabs were usually funky looking.

Re: 1968 4 door? Is this for real
Normally people don't Photoshop ads for sale? I think Special K is on to something, very early Suburban custom or a factory conversion, they are not that rare...have seen a few for sale lately, that one at least was not P/U doors.

Re: 1968 4 door? Is this for real
I would say it is not factory and a custom 3 door like LonghornMan said. But it could have been built somewhat recently. The builder possibly could have only had used parts that weren't in the best of shape and then straighten it out once it was built. But then they could have run out of money or lost interest.

Could be a cool hauler. Maybe a full airbag setup.
Here's a really quick photochop. Dropped and wheels. Still not happy with the look of the rear wheel (oh well). ![]() Chad |

Re: 1968 4 door? Is this for real
![]() ![]() its okay, i had to go and double check myself. ![]() have to agree with the suburban conversion. most crew cabs that were "farmed out by the factory" were simply two more pickup doors (angled windows) on the back of the cab, they looked really strange. that must of been a stretched frame though, i dont think you could get a longbox on the back of a cut down suburban? ![]()
