new owner/ member
Hi from Western KY, I have just bought a 1971 GMC 1500 pickup. It has 45,000 original miles on it. It's in fairly good shape for that age. I have noticed it tries to stall out, when I push on the accelerator. Has anyone else noticed similar problems with your pickup? It has a 307 motor in it. Other than that it runs fine. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks for any information you have to offer. Does anyone have any information on a truck club in this area? Specifically for 67-72 truck models.

Welcome from Eastern Ky. Does it seem like it's running rich, strong gas smell from the exhaust?
