Seam sealer

im getting ready to paint a 68 chevy truck and i was wondering if anyone has used any good sealer.some ive used has cracked withen a year. ive put 3 years in the body and such so i was hoping someone knows about a good sealer i can use. THANKS

I always use 3M "Fast'n Firm" Part# 08505. Works very well.

I used 3m ultrapro urethane and had great results.

Is the seam sealer used on the driprail the same as what is used when mounting the wheel tubs to the bed?

When I did my drip rail I reduced the seam sealer with a solvent, and poured it onto the rail so that it would flow out nice and smoothly. 1 part solvent 3 part sealer was about the ratio I used.

Yes you can use the same stuff. You can get it in several thicknesses. Flowable, heavy body, etc.
