I got my new procomp waterpump today, only to find out i dont think i can use it..
I was sure we needed a short for our truck, coming from the original 307.. but the new one is to short.. also where the mounts for the power steering, and alternator, are not there... so now what should i do?? |

Re: waterpump issue!
Also when i checked to line up the holes, it hits the timing chain cover before touching??
I went out and measured the old one is just under 7" the new one is 5 5/8" i guess i do have a long water pump... Last edited by bmrrwolfe; 04-22-2009 at 03:30 PM. |

Re: waterpump issue!
Well supposedly the 307 was original to the 1970 truck, wouldn't it typically have a short water pump??
humm.. maybe my motor is not original. |
