pic request for 73-76 owners
I was wondering if anyone here who owns an original 73-76 could post a pic of both inner fenders...not the wheel well inner fenders, but the engine compartment side of the actual fenders. I need the pics from a truck that you know has not had them replaced with aftermarket or late 70's fenders. A close up would be ideal, not a pic standing 10 feet in front of the truck.
I am trying to confirm that a pair of fenders I picked up are indeed NOS GM fenders versus aftermarket fenders. Both my trucks have the later 70's fenders, where they changed the insides a little for washer bottle and such. Thanks in advance.

Re: pic request for 73-76 owners
Tried to get some pics of my 76, not the best but I hope they help. Maybe I'll try to take some better pics when it's not so sunny out if need be.

Re: pic request for 73-76 owners
Thanks fellas, that does help out a lot! The later trucks had the slide in washer bottle and the earlier ones had the bolt in...correct?
I think your truck 73chevyman has had different fenders put on it at some point in time....if that is indeed the case.

Re: pic request for 73-76 owners
My 74 GMC was 100% original when I bought it and it has a side in washer bottle. I will go take a few pictures when I get a chance.

Re: pic request for 73-76 owners
Thanks again for the help fellas! I would like to know the differences between the years...so any pics you have of the diff years would be helpful in determining that.
Both my trucks are non-original, so I can't contribute.

Re: pic request for 73-76 owners
Here are a few pictures of my 74 GMC which is is original (at least fender wise). Also it is a Canadian built truck, not sure if that matters or not. Mine has a slide in washer bottle that I have not seen on many trucks.

Interesting, I knew the charcoal canister could be in two postions, but I've
never seen that "slide in" version of the washer bottle before. It must not have been installed on any trucks in this area. |
