i have a dumb question.

is a dually axle from a 72 chevy 1 ton wider than a 3/4t axle from a 72 gmc? if so how much wider?

I would say that they are the same. But, I really don't know.

i think theyre the same, but i have seen somewhere that there wider. so i'm trying to see if they are infact wider than the 3/4ton.

single wheel axels are about 3" wider than the dual wheel axles....I ran into this building my 35 ford ton truck in order to keep the dualy's centered on the narrow front wheel base I had to use a single wheel axle and convert the studs to us it as a dually.........hope that makes sence

yea it makes sense the dually a smaller width because the rims need spacing between them. that sucks because i wanted to use the axle from the dually that im going to cut up
