to keep coils or notto keep coils?

hey guys!,

i found a killer deal on a 69 2wd today and it "seems" to be in pretty good shape!. my plans are grandios but let me ge to the meat of my question.

i plan on making it 4wd, now i have the front all firgured out and have no problem converting it. th rear is a different question. the truck is a c_10 longbed with coil sprung rear. no i have done some research on here and found that there are a few just flipping the axle to the underside of the trailing arms. this looks simple but will it ride safley? what about the panhard bar? lower the mount or make a custom one?

should i conver the rear to leafs?...and if so has anyone on here done it?...

and lastly if i go leafs would anyone be interested in the coil sprung rear...axle and all?

thanx for any info guys!

this place is a great resource!
