Question Ignitor like points replacement from Crane

I just recently read a magazine article about a new product from Crane that does the same thing as the Ignitor from Pertronix. Has anyone else heard of this? I am wondering if it will be better than the Ignitor, and also if you can hook it up to an MSD style ignition system. Any thoughts on this? (I know I should just put in HEI, but I don't want to.) Thanks in advance.

Crane has had it for years, they make them for all sorts of cars. I see no advantage over Pertronix. The new Pertronix with the amplifier is probably the bestfor a pure stock look and good performance

I put an Ignitor in my truck. I don't know about the Crane product, but the Ignitor in super easy to put in, and everything looks stock (not that I cared, it was just half the price of putting in a no name HEI). I got mine from Autoworks. At the time it ran $60. Best decision I've made so far. I will never run points again...on ANYTHING! Good luck in your decision.
