Most likely a Targetmaster which isn't a bad thing.

10066036 350 2/4 Target Master/Goodwrench crate motor, 2-piece rear seal, "Hecho en Mexico"

A quick search came up with these results.

Re: Help with block casting numbers

Yea that is the same search results I got. Also on the block was a 96 stamp is that the year? I just bought this from a freind of the family and he thought it was a 305. He did state it was a crate motor but thought it was a 305. He said it had approx 10000 to 12000 miles on it and he was the orig owner. So for $200 I think I got a screamn deal.

Re: Help with block casting numbers

If it's a runner you got a great deal and if it's a solid rebuilder you got better than a good deal.
This guy has put together one of the better lists of casting numbers http://www.joesantiquecars.com/Chevr...g-numbers.html
