Post BIG BLOCK MOUNTS

Can someone confirm this...... The 1972 402 BB C10 came with either one of two different motor mount brackets. One style was a carry forward from the previous years (the same you would likely find in say a 69,70 or 71) it looks kinda like the small block brackets. The other style which was more commonly found was the 3 piece per/side more of a straight tower and a cup style bracket that bolts to the block with the rubber mount in between.

My question is has anyone seen the earlier style brackets on a 72, or did they just use the one style in 1972?

Thanks

i've only seen the 72 style on 72s but it is very possible some early 72s could have got carry overs from 71. i've owned a couple 72 big block trucks and they had 72 style mounts.

I put in a 454 from a 1982 suburban. The brackets i used where from that same suburban. They bolted on with not much work.

Hope this helps.
