67 Stepside question

I have a 67 Chevy SWB Stepside. My truck has the side mounted spare tire carrier. I want to remove this.

Is it basically removing the carrier and the LH fender and replacing it with a LH fender from another bed w/o the carrier?

What years are the fenders compatible?

Thanks,
Joe

Yes. All 67-72 shortbed and longbed stepside fenders will work. Your's is a 67 and 67 was the ony year without side marker lights in the fenders so you'll either need to find a 67 or fill in the marker hole.

I found a lot of posts where people are looking for spare tire brackets, but nothing about filling in the area. Could you post the URL to the post?

Looks like I won't have any trouble selling my carrier and fender
