helicoil question

i have a stripped intake bolt that is going to require a helicoil. the local lowes hardware store doent carry them. what stores sell them and how much do they usually go for?

Most autoparts stores should have or be able to get them or one of the fasterner stores.
The kit with tap, coils and installer usually runs about 20 bucks for 5/16 or 3/8 you still need the correct drill bit as most kits don't have the drill bit in them.

I spent part of today hunting the right size to repair the threads in a Holley carb.
Notice that it shows the correct size drill bit for each size.

Oreilly's had the kit on their tool aisle the last time I needed one.

They had the size he needs today in Yakima, Wa but didn't have the size I need for my carb.

Checker Auto parts in Central Tx I think.
