Guys, he did not say obo or otherwise open the thread to ridiculous counter-offers. Read the rules.

Re: gauge cluster and new bezel
Not to stir the pot here, but he was only asking about the gauge cluster BEZEL and 30 Shipped is a reasonable offer. They sell for around that on ebay brand new in the box. Don't think that's out of line...Of course if he offered that for everything that would be crazy....but I digress.....
Good luck with the sale.

Re: gauge cluster and new bezel
VI. If you do not like the price of an item, look further. Comments on value, condition etc will not be tolerated.
I will stick my nose in here - I belive the above is intended to prevent someone from posting something like the following Are you crazy I can buy that something from Joe Blow for $10.00 and he will ship it to me for free you must be a Ford lovin fool Based on the the way I have seen this portion of the board run for the last 2+ years, folks normally expect someone to make an offer or suggest a trade. Fred - are we seeing complaints from other board members or other issues that should be brought to light for the board population in general?

I'd like to see a reference number to a NIB bezel that sold for $30 including shipping from any seller, any source. Please link the auction page. Thats a junk offer, IHO. It would cost at least $10 to ship anywhere, so he's being asked to take $20 for the bezel? Ever seen that happen? And then he has the Original dash for $100? not likely.......I agree with Fred T Last edited by chuckmc8; 04-28-2009 at 06:08 AM. |

Re: gauge cluster and new bezel
When i got ready to sell this bezel I looked at LMC and they wanted $50 for the bezel, This has never been out of the bag it came in so I'll take less but not much shipped.
Thank you guys for the support this site has been nothing but good for me. P. S still for sale |

Re: gauge cluster and new bezel
In all fairness, I wish I could edit my post because around 45 shipped is the cheapest I could find them right now. Sorry to clutter your post and good luck with your sale.

Now you asked about Bezels, here is one that you can look at: http://www.scribd.com/full/5722345?a...jcbazlklxtunnw At the end of the day whether something is new or not, still in the box, if you sell it, you will not get what you paid for it. Much like me selling my new never used carpet for less than what I paid for it, still in the unopened box. It is the price we pay for buying something we didn't need/ want/ think about/ or whatever. I didn't think his offer for the bezel was too far off. But I honestly don't think it was anyone elses business what the buyer offered. He was not commenting on price, only making an offer. Shawn

Re: gauge cluster and new bezel
Okay so now we can't edit our posts after five minutes, so here is what I was trying to add:
The seller could have easily said No thank you, I'm not parting at this time, or could have just said no thank you. There could have even been a counter offer given. If you limit the ability to negotiate then there are a lot of things on this board that may never get sold. Sometimes sellers (including myself) are high on prices, but just don't realize it. This is where researching prices before selling items comes in handy. SHawn

Re: gauge cluster and new bezel
Wow!!! Thanks again for the support I understand how sales go and I did counter offer at 45 shipped I didn't think it was that big of a deal but again thanks for all the input.
I don't think 45 shipped is a lot of money but I guess that's my opinion, no hard feelings what so ever!!!! |
