Re: help me please!!!!!!!!(lowering my truck)

Lowering springs front and rear are the easiest. Would cost about 220 or so shipped to your front door. Drop shocks are recommended IMO, and they can be found at Doetch for like 55/shock, and they ride AWESOME.

Re: help me please!!!!!!!!(lowering my truck)

If you have leaf rear you can use blocks or lowered leaf sets. If you have coil rear you can use srpings, blocks combo. In front you can use a combo of springs and drop spindles, depending on how low you want to go.

Just contact the guy's at ECE (Early Classic Enterprises), and they will hook you up and answer any and all questions you might have.

Check out this page for shots of different drops on the same truck... LINK

yes its possible, im a full time alignment tech but before i put drop spindlas in mine i hada heck of a time getting mine right
i say if you go 3'' or more in the front without bags it is best to use drop spindals

2.5" dropped spindles in the front, 4" drop springs out back. It will ride like a Caddy.

Re: help me please!!!!!!!!(lowering my truck)

Here is shot of rear, 1 1/2 block from stockcarparts .com, new ubolts from local spring shop, and 2 inch drop springs. Total cost about 150. Front has one and half coils cut out. Truck sits level. I drive a 1 ton truck daily so no different ride to me.

Re: help me please!!!!!!!!(lowering my truck)

I dropped my 70 quite a few years ago when I was in college and all I did was take a coil and a quarter off the front springs and then made 3" drop blocks for the rear trailing arms and this is what the truck sits like. (when it was done back in 95')

Re: help me please!!!!!!!!(lowering my truck)

Back when I lowered my truck I think I bought a pair of longer u-bolts and that was about it. I scrounged for the steel to make the rear lowering blocks. May cost a couple of barley pops if you need to get the blocks drilled or welded up.

If you use the 2/4 drop springs from lmc with the drop shocks can you just bolt it in and go?

Re: help me please!!!!!!!!(lowering my truck)

If you stay with steel 15" wheels then stay with a 2 1/2" spindle. 3" drop spindles have a tendency to rub the rim on the lower control arm.

Re: help me please!!!!!!!!(lowering my truck)

If you can't afford to do it the way you want (and properly), save your money til you can. You'll be happier with it in the long run.

If you haven't seen this yet it could prove to be helpful...
