Jamie... i'm in the San Bernardino area. I have a 81 with a 5.3 and th350.... truck runs/drives.

Been thinking about it and the more I look at the old big block chevy headers they seem to have the same spacing as the ls1 ports. They're also already made to clear the body and frame on our trucks. Couldn't you grab a driver's side header from your own tri Y BBC headers stock and see if it lines up? Then it would just be a matter of the proper flange and block/transmission clearance.
