Firewall cover retainer clips??

Does anyone know if the original RUBBER firewall cover retainer clips are available from any vendor? They say only the plastic replacement ones are available. Ive seen both rubber and plastic on classic parts catalog. But still would like to know. Thanks!

I wish the were but I have yet to find them and the plastic ones are the wrong size too small.

Re: Firewall cover retainer clips??

There are rubber and plastic retainers for the firewall insulation. Don't know which years take what, but the plastic retainers didn't fit my '67. I got the rubber ones from Classic Parts (www.classicparts.com), part #42-086.
