Power steering pump mounting question

Have the cpp plates to convert to pwr st. On my 66 my question is im running a long pump and alternator on pass side i was told you cant use 67-72 pump with a long water pump what the .... What is the easiest and cleanest pump and box combo to set up what years work best for mounting the resivor thanks snacks

Since you are running a long water pump I would suggest the pump, brackets, pulleys, hoses and the box from a '73-'80 pickup. Around '81 or '82 GM switched to metric threads on the fittings with an O ring instead of the double flare on the earlier models. It's just easier if you use all the parts from the same year group to make the install go easier.

if you didn't find what you were looking for CPP also sells a mounting bracket that I used with my long pump. $40 I think super easy install

thanks for the info i ended up buying a nice bracket from summit and used a pump and box from a 79 2wd truck works good should have been the first thing i did to the truck
