speedometer delete
i don't use it or drive it enough or fast enough to get pulled over, and my cable leaks at the tranny. is there a speedo delete cap i can buy somewhere and screw on the tranny?

no fluid is in speedo cable so your leak is from the tranny where the sending unit is//

Plug the cable in spread silicone around it then screw it back together it will stop leak.

If you really want it gone, remove the whole gear driven unit, and replace with a freeze plug. The 4x4s have a freeze pug in that hole from the factory because the spedo cable is driven off the transfer case on them.

freeze plug? what size do i ask for at the parts store? like for a ford 351 or chevy v6... or will they sell th350 freeze plugs? let me add i have a th350

i'm looking to clean up the dash, just need a fuel gauge and i can hide that and my oil volts and water, but i'm not sure how i'm going to do it. its a custom truck, not a daily driver.

I guess if you never sell the truck, it would be O.K. , but if are ever in a situation down the road where you want to sell, or have to sell the truck, that will be a huge minus for the buyer. Just a thought.
