Power Brakes and Power Steering
I know its on here somewhere but can't seem to find the thread. Can someone point me in the right direction?? I want to add a power booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve. My 1963 already has disk brakes. I also would like to find a power steering box, pump and brackets that would fit on my 350. I have heard that you can pull most of these parts off of later models. Being new this style of truck I'm not sure models will mount up easiest.
Thanks for any help! |

This is if your using CPP's kit. Try doing a forum search next time. Repeated topics don't get answers quickly.

Re: Power Brakes and Power Steering
I saw this one already, thank you for your input. What I'm looking for is which trucks I can remove these parts from.

Mine are from a '72 C10. You should be able to use from any 67-72 C10. Don't know for sure about later years.

Re: Power Brakes and Power Steering
For a power steering box, any '69-'87 C-series will work. As for the pump and brackets, that will depend on if you have a short or long water pump. The last year for short pumps on trucks is '72......'68 for cars. Around 1981 GM switched from a double flare fitting to an O-ring fitting on the pumps and boxes. If you keep the pump and box the same style, it makes finding hoses easier.
As for power brakes, take a look at the bracket that I am selling in the classifieds......link in my sig.
