Dash speakers and hidden antennas

I'm in the middle of restoring a truck and have the cab stripped down, no glass installed, etc. I was looking at the top of the dash the areas outboard of the defrost vents. Would small speakers work well there, reflecting off the windshield? Kind of like rear speakers on the back deck of a car. I was thinking about 4x10's or maybe squeezing a 5-1/4" or smaller in there. I have an old set of MTX speakers in boxes that I was going to put new speakers into and set behind the seats to go with it.

I was also wondering if anyone has had any success at all with any brand of hidden antenna.

Re: Dash speakers and hidden antennas

Is this going in the Jimmy or the fleet?

In either case, a small set of speakers in the dash will sound pretty good bouncing off the glass. May I suggest component speakers, mounting the mid-bass in the kicks and the tweeter in the dash?

AutoLoc makes a pretty decent hidden antenna. I've heard one hooked up in a 2000(?) Dodge Ram and it sounded as good as a normal antenna would.

It's for the C-10 now, but if it works well, then the Jimmy and blazer may get the same treatment. Thanks for the input.
