Hi there, but dont throw rocks at me
The reason for the title, i have an '85 Ram that i am transplanting a 383 chevy into. Short story is, we (the wife and i) love the truck,, we drove off from being married in the truck, and after two chysler 360's gave me fits, i decided to build something cheaper and better---maybe some fuel injection later too.
I stumbled upon here from doing some searches and found a ton of info here. So i am hoping that even though the outside of the truck is not a Chevy, the fact that the heart is will be enough to allow me to play here. Just so that you know, i am still a big mopar guy, but i have a little of Chevy, Mopar, and Ford stuff roaming in the garage for play toys. We own four trucks and one car, but the funnest vehicle that is hiding is our 1920 model T ford pickup--relativly all stock. |

welcome to the site. click on the link msgross posted and fill us in. My Dad drove an 81 Ram for years. The only reason he gave it up was the body started falling off piece by piece (NY salt)

Re: Hi there, but dont throw rocks at me
Welcome from Australia... you raise an interesting question - is a truck the body or the motor?
For our own safety though I wold put that chevy badge on as soon as you can

Re: Hi there, but dont throw rocks at me
here are a couple pics for now. This is just with a little 305 i am using for mockup--not sure if i want to get it running as it wiped out a cam. I might just try and get the 383 done for it.
