Bestop Soft Top Hardware
I came across all the hardware for a Bestop Soft Top (Poles, Door Brackets, Tracks... etc) in a Blazer I was parting out a while back. I have held onto it all for a while waiting to see about getting the vinyl custom made to fit the top.
I bought the truck for $500 and have parted it out for somewhere in the neighborhood of $1500 profit. I was curious about what the rails and everything would be worth and whether it is possible to get a top custom made for a reasonable price? Are the rails something that is easy to come by? Or was that a lucky find? |

Re: Bestop Soft Top Hardware
I will say it's a great find since there are currently no companies making soft tops for the 69-72 Blazers now. The whole frame with hardware should be worth between $400-$700 as the top when in production ranged in price from $765-$1265 depending on which company you bought it from.
You could probably take the Blazer to a boat shop that makes canopy style tops and have them take measurements with the frame mounted on the Blazer and have them make a top for you. Or you could get the measurements then add 5-10% for error and buy some heavy duty weather proof material, four heavy duty zippers, some clear plastic sheets for windows and make your own. Here's a diagram with measurements I found awhile back. Hope this helps. Good Luck. |
