Need power window help

I got this 85 k10 about 4 months ago. The passenger side window moved up
and down very slow. When I replaced old window seal 2 months ago with new
one it would'nt move at all w/o help. I "assumed" the motor was just worn out.
This weekend I replaced the motor and it made no difference. The rails don't look bent or anything damaged.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Where did the motor come from?
Did you lube the guide channels?

You may call Autozone. It's not unheard of to get a bad motor even though it's new. A lot of those are remanufactured.

Re: Need power window help

Either check for voltage at the connector or get a spare battery and hook it straight to the motor. If the window flies up and down you ahve a bad connection and need to sort it out to get full 12~13V to the motor.

Re: Need power window help

i would check how much voltage you are getting at the motor you might have a voltage dorp problem so your motor isint getting it required power to run at optimal speed

Re: Need power window help

120 AMP alternator will not fix it......

125.00 New motors/regulators
18.00 Junkyard window
30.00 New Switches
50.00 Window Felt kit
100.00 Alternator.

My Dad was a GM tech back in the day, says powdered graphite the new felts lightly. He said that GM had a "felt lube" powder years ago, but it cannot be found. If that doesn't work, rewiring with relays.
