Re: New tires and wheels(ish)
I think i have enough room for 295s... 295/50/r15s back 275/60r15 front? Was actually just thinking about it. Only two of the tires are good anyway, so i think i may just try.

Re: New tires and wheels(ish)
I have to take the torque converter back out, i got sent the wrong one. So with a......4800 stall converter, its pretty hard to brake even those skinny tires free, unless you do a powerbrake.

Agreed on the Craigslist deals!!! Scored my rear 275/60R15 BFG Radial TA's for $40 bucks. Under 200 miles on them. Guy had them on his old school Model A and didn't like the look of them so he bought some big ass sweet looking Mickey T's. Posted them for $40 and I was lucky enough to be on the computer right when the ad posted....I was the first person who emailed him. I about gave him a hug when I picked them up. The rally wheels I picked up for $65 from a guy in Washington who sandblasted them, metal etched them, primed them, and painted the centers. All straight with no bends. I still sanded them down to bare metal and re-primed them. Then painted them. Mainly for the fact that I needed them to match my truck and he used cheap paint. My front 245/60R15 BFG Radial TA's were a free score from my uncle. He had them laying around in the garage. About 65% tread left. Center caps were $20 at the Portland Swap Meet in April. Scrubbed them down with steel wool and then polished them with some Blue Magic chrome polish and brought them back to life. Beauty rings I did buy new at the Swap Meet for $60. 3" deep Stainless Steel...not the cheap Taiwan tin ones. Only bought new because I could not find any decent used ones for a good price. But still, pretty good deal since I have seen the same ones in catalogs for $90-120. For paint supplies (paint, primer, sand paper, and masking supplies), wheels, tires, caps, and rings it cost me just over $200. Add that with about 20 hours of personal labor (I sanded them to bare metal by hand), I have a sweet setup that I hardly payed anything for. Moral of the story.....craigslist is sweet, free is great, and put in a little hard work and it pays!!!
