Post what's a 50th worth?

I saw a 68 50th? for sale today, it's kinda rough, dented and rusted, I didn't stop to look at it because I had the convertible and I didn't want the guy thinkin' I had alot of money, which I don't. It's got the gold paint with the top of the cab white. I have no idea what engine/trans it has, but it's a C-10. Just wondering what to offer.

Since most ppl don't know, I would keep my mouth shut and just look at it like any other truck.
But that's just me.

That's kinda what I was thinking. There aren't alot of people in my area looking for a 2wd, everyone wants a 4x4. I think I'll run back into town and see what the guy is asking, I've seen him driving it around, and he's an older guy, the truck looks to be all original. I better not get my hopes up too high, he probably wants way too much for it.

The last 50th I had the previous owner (an elderly gentleman)knew exactly what he had!! Gave him $5000 for the truck, but it only had 26,000 miles on it, and was basically a one owner. You may get lucky though. The 50th I had that was a swb,396,fact a/c, ps,pb,tach,77,000 original miles, uncle nephew owned, I gave $3000 for. Should have kept them both, but those are othe stories. Good luck Buck!

I think 50th's are cool and all but realistically how much more would they be worth then a nicely optioned truck in the same condition? Just curious.

I dunno if it's really a 50th or not, I haven't been able to catch the guy at home and don't know his name to call him. the colors are right, though and it is a 68

Here are some pics of the color scheme...I think a true 50th has the golden dash pad. There is one for sale now in the trucks for sale section.
