Re: 68 2wd swb
I've seen a few people on here do it. Looks too involved for me. LOTS of work but looks killer when it's done. Did you install a new floor? Looks good.

Re: 68 2wd swb
yeah floor was fun def. worth the experience but next time i think I'm going to look around for a better cab to start with. My brother and i did the floor, rockers, and cab corners on a Saturday... all was going well, until we had to fabricate the cab corners but that's what i get for buying aftermarket on sale

Yes you can shave the drip rails, take a sawzall and start at it, small sections at a time, when it comes to the front you will have to hammer and dolly it so that you get the right curve, otherwise you get a funny looking ledge.

Re: 68 2wd swb
Im new here and to these trucks. Where is a good source for parts (Floor, what all is there to look at for rocker, corner replacement)? Im not sure what parts to order when I get to it. Will need cab mounts bushings, and all.
Anyone in the KC area got a good cab 4 sale?LOL Bill |

Re: 68 2wd swb
if you can get a better cab it will save you a lot of time. i got lucky having a lift, the right tools and someone who new what they were doing. but if not i think all after market stuff is really all the same. it's important to know the thickness of the metal, usually thicker is better. try Brothers trucks, ,lmc classic industries, year one, and classic parts. so far i've had decent luck. some of the body lines on new parts aren't that great
