i am trying to figure out what i need , steering gear box ,pulleys ? what gear box do i need for my truck with a vortec 305 , some help would be appreciated .

just a little confused on stuff with the gear boxes and what i can use from other trucks , really what is compatible with my truck and motor ,thanks

I have a 305 vortec in my 71 and as far as I know it's the stock gear box and pump. Did your truck not come with power steering?

Probally easier to just go sepentine. Go to the local yard get an entire setup there are bunches of them there. As far as gear box you can use an older 68-72 style. Change the fittings around to prevent problems with the hoses.

cool , i found a local gear box out of a 71 here for $35 with all the hoses , i figured it was a good deal
