Big Block Pictures Needed

Im helping a friend of mine install a 454 in his slammed 69 blazer 2wd.
I am needing to find locations of just how close the pulleys are to the radiator, and how far the engine is from the fire wall and the brake mosster,m/c assembly, thanks in advance guys

Re: Big Block Pictures Needed

Sorry...this is the only pic I have. A 454 between the rails of a 3/4 ton C20. The previous owner did a horrible job with the motor mounts to clearance the headers. It doens't give you your desired dimensions...

I think I have about 1 inch between the FAN (not the pulley) and the radiator.

Sorry I don't have a better pic.

I think the only time you should have a problem with that is if you use the tall valve covers.

Re: Big Block Pictures Needed

It's close but does clear it. Close as in over an inch, not as in 1/8 or something.

Re: Big Block Pictures Needed

french blue. what motr mounts did you use an did you have to redrill holes. Also if those are 72 mounts, did the bottom holes line up good or did you have to do some mod-ding. it loooks like all the pics scooted the motor up a few inches away from the firewall
