Good parts run today
Found a guy parting out a 69 Burb between Austin and Bastrop, Tx. Went today and pulled a good barn door for my 68 panel. Also pulled a factory am radio, intact and all knobs. He has lots of parts left on it. Still has 2nd row seat, gauge cluster, all 3 front doors, most of the glass is good, I hope to get the windshield after next payday. Anyone in the area want to check it out, pm me and I'll give you his number. Fair prices and was a nice guy.

Re: Good parts run today
I'm disgusted with envy. Was this the guy right ouside of Basttrop kind of up on a hill. Has a bunch of old stuff?
Oh, I MISS Texas. Good for you. I tried to go to a junkyard today, and they decided to close for the day. Sorta like Mayberry around here, people make their own hours. Good and bad. Have you ever driven old Hwy 90 between Columbus and SanAntonio? There is a very nice junkyard there, I can't remember if it's before or after Shiner. And I assume you know about Johns in Seguin, hard to beat for all old stuff? Or how about the guy in LaGrange? Or the place in Brenham that is only open afternoons and weekends, sometimes when they feel like it? Man I miss Texas.

Re: Good parts run today
I quit counting the old cars and trucks of all makes on the way. He's kind of out in the boonies. Once you get off the beaten path in Texas, there's no telling what you'll turn up. This is his only Chevy 67-72, but has some 80's model suburbans. I was kind of eyeing a front axle off one.

Re: Good parts run today
The only things he might be willing to ship are small things. He tore his arm up beyond repair, and is pretty limited in what he can do. What are you needing? I may be going back next month to get the windshield.

I'll try to remember to take my camera next month when I go to get the windshield.
