700r4 Items Needed

HELLO CHEVY PEOPLE,

I JUST BOUGHT A 700R4 TODAY FROM A MARINE GETTING READY TO DEPLOY TO GERMANY. I PURCHASED THE TRANNY FOR $50.00 AT A GARAGE SALE HERE IN TULSA. HE HAD IT IN AN 88 FULL-SIZE BLAZER. HE JUST HAD IT REBUILT, AND AFTER ABOUT 500 MILES HE TOLD ME 3RD GEAR STARTED TO SLIP. HIS THEORY IS THE TV CABLE WAS NOT AJUSTED PROPERLY AND HE THINKS HE BURNED UP THE CLUTCHES. JUST CURIOUS IF I GOT A GOOD DEAL, ON A REBUILDABLE TRANSMISSION OR NOT? QUESTION #2. I HAVE A 1972 SWB FLEETSIDE 4X4 WITH A 4-SPEED. IT HAS THE T-205 TRANSFERCASE WHICH I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SEVERAL OF YOU ON HERE IS A BULLET PROOF CASE FOR THE MOST PART. I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THE CURRENT TRANSFERCASE, ARE THERE ANY ADAPTERS OUT THERE I COULD USE? #3 WHAT WILL I BE LOOKING AT TO REBUILD THIS TRANNY? #4 AND LAST, WHAT ITEMS DO I NEED TO COMPLETE THIS INSTALL? I HAVE A AUTO COLUMN ALREADY, JUST CURIOUS IF ANYONE HAS A DETAILED LIST OF EVERYTHING I MAY NEED. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME, SORRY FOR SUCH A LONG MESSAGE.

SINCERELY,
CHUCK MISENER

$50 is about what i found that a rebuildable 700r4 went when i was looking for one in my area. So, you got an OK deal.

Check with Advance Adapters, they make an adapter for just about anything...
