Was this worth $200?
It's a 78, Silverado, power windows and everything.
It's a theft recovery and for some reason a couple dented fenders and doors scared the guy from restoreing it, even though he knows how (you should see his black 57 210!) so he parted it out to this condition but I have everything that's missing but the driveshaft. And the only really bad part is the d/s cab corner got pealed open, but looks like an easy fix. I've got all the body trim I need for it too! I can't find any rust anywhere, plus it has new door hinges, good glass, good bench seat and good suspension that's everything I was going to need for the blue/white LB 76, so I guess the 76 will be the parts truck, which has a decent body, but every moving part is worn slap out. (truck abuse) But anyway tell me what you think. |

and being out of work and all I should prolly stick to that plan. I've been wanting a truck with power windows though. I was wondering if it would be worth more lowered, or just leave it alone. I don't like shortbeds that high off the ground, but some people don't like lowered trucks. I'm in the Oak Cliff area and everybody round here is lifting their cars to put the big rims on, and I see alot of stock height shortbeds with the big rims. Re: Was this worth $200?
Looks good to me...! I think a ride worth fixin up,like a cool muscle car or truck, would have to be a total wreck to not be worth a couple hundred bucks and this one looks like a solid start. I say good deal for sure !

Hard to beat $200 for anything. Nice find. I say, fix & flip is a good plan if you need some cash flow.

if you lower it it ownt change the resale value..
most people will NEVER give what is into a truck in parts.. i could barley get mroe then what the tires are worth on my truck (1700) but never see themney for hte new motor.. or the suspension.. or anythign else ive repaired since...

Re: Was this worth $200?
I know, all those little extra things you can do and add to a car/truck that
people like, but they won't pay extra for them. I put drop spindles on a beat up 79 shortbed and fell out of love with it and didn't get anything more for it by having them on it. No I won't be parting it out, I will hate parting out the trashed longbed enough lol. And there are nicer door panals to be found at the J-yards around here anyway. |
