Help with Getting my Truck Started
I recently installed a new intake, Holley 600 carb (rebuilt), and valve covers. Everything is installed and still does not work.
Have checked: have fuel coming from carb, have spark plug wires, have hot wire coming from ignition to distributor (HEI), #1 at TDC lines up with #1 plug wire, plug wires are right on dist cap. Any suggestions?? Truck has not run for about 6 month and have spent about 3 days working on it and would love to drive it. |

You need fuel, spark and timing for your engine to run. It sounds as if you have fuel and your timing is right . Did you check to see if you're getting spark? Also where are you getting power from for your dizzy? Is it coming from a switched terminal on the fuse block? that is, 12 volts with the key "on". Best of luck.

Do you get anything out of it when you turn the key?
