throttle cable brackets??
Hey guys just wondering what you are all running for throttle/kickdown brackets? When I got my truck it had a junk holley on it so I took my 1405 edelbrock off my old v8 s10 an mounted it on the edelbrock performer intake, now the problem is i was getting a throttle cable that was in big loop an the kickdown cable was NEVER hooked up!! I ve tried the summitt one the holley one, but the kickdown cable wont reach, seems like it needs a extra 1.5", edelbrock does make one but its like $55 don't wanna get one an still not be right?? pics would be nice but an experience would be helpful

Re: throttle cable brackets??
Do you have the angle correction bracket?
Costs $20 over at www.summitracing.com. If the cable is too short, replace it. Aftermarket cables are longer. Plus they have an adjusrtable end. Look closely at the picture above. Click on it. You have finite adjustments with the end. Works great. |

Re: throttle cable brackets??
the cable is very well long enough, but with the brackets adjusted to the max it pulls the cable completely out, even with the specified bracket edelbrock technical support said would work??? It's got me baffled, ready to say f*ck it an rip the damn thing out anyways

Re: throttle cable brackets??
old rusty that would be great any help would be nice, I have a total of 4 brackets I have tried them all summitt, holley, edelbrock, an a spectra none of them have enough adjustment on the slider for the kickdown cable to properly fit an be able to adjust. I will try an get some pics on Fri when I bring it into work!!! Seems CRAZY no one has encountered this problem!!! It DOES have a brand new GM kickdown cable installed just was never connected, when the swap to the edelbrock intake an carb were installed on the crate motor
