Hydro Boost / Steering hoses and ???'s

Getting ready to put the plumbing to the new hydro boost system and need some tips form you guys.

Hose Type – Would like to know if there is a stainless hose that I can use on both the high and low pressure side?

Fitting Sizes – Would anyone know the fitting sizes that go into the steering box and the one into the back of the pump?

Filter – Was thinking of running a remote oil type filter unit that mounts to the core support. I am assuming I can use the regular spin on type filter and push the power steering fluid through it with no extra strain on the p.s. pump. I have heard that hydroboost units do not like contaminated fluid. I believe the filter should be fed off the low pressure side?

Cooler – Really see no need to run a cooler since this is a street driven only truck

Any other tips guys

thanks

Re: Hydro Boost / Steering hoses and ???'s

I used stainless hoses for both sides on mine. I don't remember what the sizes were for the fittings, I don't remember how I found out. I didn't use a filter on mine either.

Good luck, I wish I could be more help.

What AN size did you use? Did you buy and assemble all of it yourself, I was thinking I was going to have to have it made somewhere with the crimped ends. I did not know that the regular AN fitting would hold up to the high pressure side.

Re: Hydro Boost / Steering hoses and ???'s

I called Hydratech and they were able to help me with what fittings I needed. I assembled all the hoses myself, very easy to do. The hardest part was getting all the fittings right.

I think the hose size is 6AN.
