bubbletop1961 new to forums

My name is brian, I go by bubbletop1961. I own a 1961 impala, and 2, 71 trucks. One I have been driving for 13 years and is just a good old daily driver. Love it to death like part of the family. The second is why I joined here. Its quite the project. It was chopped 4"s some times in the 80's (I think). I bought the cab and front clip. Cab was very rusty and very cheap, which started the project Im into now. Im doing something like a rat rod, but doing all I can to not call it that. A patina look. I have channelled the cab around the frame 3.5". Now just starting to put the floor back in. Next is to drop it another 5" in suspension. I want it tp be low, really low. Throw some sparks. And not with bags or pumps of any kind. Then put a mild drivetrain in and drive the crap out of it. NO fancy paint or any of that stuff. Just something to have fun with and not have to worry about. The goal was simple and alot of fun. Hope to chime in a little around here. I do alot of reading and some posting.
thanks brian

Re: bubbletop1961 new to forums

Thanks everyone. I would like to use the engine in the pic. Its just a low horse 58, 348. But its cool. It bolted right in there except the exhaust maniflods wont work, Will have to come up with something there. I put up a couple pics of the 61.
