Saving the SPID

As I get ready to have my truck media blasted, I was curious if anyone has had any luck saving the SPID on the glovebox door? There isn't much listed on it as it's a stripped-down model, but still I would like to have it on there.

Just as an insurance policy...take some good digital pictures before you do anything. That way if something does happen to it, it can be replaced. This thing is not like a VIN tag, there is nothing at all illegal about getting one reproduced, to replace it.

I have had good luck removing the label with a heat gun. You have to be carefull but it does work.

Get a hold of board member Chipflyer...Jeff reproduces them and can ad some options if you like. He just did one for me and it looks great!!

I've had good luck removing them with a heat gun, razor blade and a lot of patience. I don't think they would look very good if reused though.
