What size tire for correct speedo reading?
I need to pick up some new tires for my Dad's project - the ones on the truck now are 33s and I want to get him new tires and have the speedo be correct when he drives it.
What size tire was stock on these trucks (1970 C10) so I can buy a comparable size? Still deciding between the 6 lug (15x8) rally wheels and the 6 lug (15x10) slots - not sure which way I am going to go yet. Thanks. |

Re: What size tire for correct speedo reading?
8.25-15 was standard but there where a few optional sizes.
You can easily change the speedo gear coming off the transmission to get the speedo to read reasonably correct for any tire. BTW, 8.25-15 = 205-R-15 in a radial according to my refs.
